'Goblin' actor Lee Dong Wook joins star-studded cast of 'Happy New Year'

Lee Dong Wook will be gracing the big screen once again to join fellow superstars like Han Ji Min, Kang Ha Neul, Girls’ Generation YoonA, Won Jin Ah, Seo Kang Joon, Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Young Kwang, Lee JinWook, and Jung Jin Young for a star-studded film entitled Happy New Year.

The romantic comedy, which started filming last month, revolves around the intertwined stories of individuals who stay at Hotel Emrose on New Year’s Day.

Lee Dong Wook will play the role of Hotel Emrose’s CEO who is obsessed with even numbers. Han Ji Min, meanwhile is one of the employees of the hotel who harbors a secret feelings for an old friend. Kang Ha Neul will play a down on his luck jobseeker coming to terms with his fifth straight failure for the civil service exam and the loss of his girlfriend.

YoonA will take on the role of a confident hotelier while Won Jin Ah and Seo Kang Joon will play the roles of celebrities – one who is tired of fame looking for a change of pace, as the deals with his rising stardom in the field of music.

Meanwhile, Lee Kwang Soo, who is well known for being a mainstay in the variety show ‘Running Man,’ will take on the role of a competent talent manager who is being scouted by other labels as his contract expires.

‘Happy New Year’ will be directed by ‘My Sassy Girl’ director Kwak Jae Yong. The film will be released in theaters and TVing soon.
