Community pantries all over the country have one sole mission, to help the needy in bringing food to their table in this time of public health crisis. The initiative also inspired many local creatives, whether to produce artworks mirroring the kindness or make colorful signages and posts to adorn their stands.

The latest to show solidarity with community pantries is Canva. The design tool announces that it is offering free design templates Filipinos can use for their community pantry set up, and also offers to print the signages for free.

“Tuloy ang tulungan. Maraming salamat po sa mga sumusuporta at nagtataguyod ng mga community pantries. Saludo po kami sa inyo! (Helping continues. Many thanks to the people who support and promote community pantries. We salute you!),” Canva says in a post. “Sa mga nangangailangan ng tulong upang makapagsimula ng kanilang #CommunityPantry, may inihanda kaming mga signages na pwede ninyong magamit (To all who needs help in starting up their #CommunityPantry, we have prepared signages you can use.”

“Para naman sa mga nangangailangan ng tulong sa pag-print ng signages, kami ay handang mag-print at mag-deliver ng libre (For those who need help in printing their signages, we are ready to print and deliver them for free),” it continued.

The customizable design templates feature statements that have become staples in community pantries, such as “Para sa masa, galing sa masa” and “Magbigay ayon sa kakayahan. Kumuha batay sa kailangan.” Users can also produce signages for particular supplies and reminders about health and safety protocols for people to read as they wait in line.

“Sobrang nakakataba ng puso ang mga #CommunityPantry na sinimulan ni AP Non (The #CommunityPantry initiated by AP Non is truly heartwarming),” Canva said in another post. “Tandaan mas malakas tayo pag sama-sama (Remember, we are strong when we are together)!”
