Blacklist shuts down Omega's feeding Diggie strat, extends unbeaten run in MPL-PH

Blacklist International kept its code unbroken in the MPL Philippines Season 7 as it foiled the feeding Diggie strategy from Smart Omega to clinch a 2-1 victory on Thursday night, April 22. 

Omega pulled out the infamous Diggie tactic in the deciding Game 3 but Blacklist came out fully prepared to stay as the only undefeated team in the local Mobile Legends professional league. 

DJ "Wise" Del Rosario's Granger fended off the pesky Diggie of Jeniel "Haze" Bata-anon and eventually snowballed with the help of Jayson "ESON" Gerardo's Rafaela. 

With Wise at the helm, Blacklist wiped out three of Omega heroes at the bot lane while Edward "EDWARD" Dapadap's Thamuz outplayed Salic "Hadjizy" Imam's Claude and Kenneth Jiane "Kenji" Villa's Hayabusa at the top in the 10th minute. 

Blacklist went straight for the Base and punctuated the 45-6 romp with a 9.5K gold advantage. 

The Tier One Entertainment-backed squad scored its sixth straight victory in as many matches to remain atop Group B with 15 points. 

Omega absorbed its third consecutive defeat but tied NXP at No. 3 with eight points on a 2-4 series win-loss record. 

EDWARD's Lapu-Lapu armed with early Bloodlust Axe and Blade of Despair powered Blacklist to a 15-11 win in Game 1 in 19 minutes. 

A disastrous Diversion play from Jankurt "KurtTzy" Matira's Luo Yi near Blacklist's purple buff spelled the doom for Omega as EDWARD and the squad slayed three heroes and close out the victory. 

But Omega forced a decider after pulling off an epic 17-10 comeback victory in Game 2 sparked by the crucial retribution by Hadjizy's Claude on the Luminous Lord. 

Interestingly, Hadjizy nabbed the MVP medal with a 0-0-13 kill-death-assist record. 

Omega's Diggie strat though didn't work in the rubber match as Blacklist managed to keep its clean slate.
