It looks like 2021 marks the year we became free from the tight embrace of skinny jeans. We can now say hello to the comfort and luxe feel of loose and baggy denims, or as Vogue puts it, "trouser-like" denim pants. While the shift is still up for discussion for many, it is pretty inevitable to witness this style come to the denim cycle.

In the past years, relax denims in the form of the "boyfriend" and the "mom" jeans were having their fair share of fashion spotlight. We have seen them worn by characters on Netflix, donned by fashionistas, and even infiltrated Tiktok. And the solace of our pandemic at-home dressing gave it the final push it needed to become a legit trend.
