Lea Salonga expresses sympathy for Asian-Americans in the US

In a recent interview with "TV Patrol," Lea Salonga gave viewers an idea on how some Asian-Americans in the US live their lives in fear.

She explained: "New York City is such a melting pot. I remember never being afraid to walk around the city until 2016. That was the only time that I thought I was in danger."

She also cited the recent violence that happened to fellow Filipino Americans.

One was helplessly cut on the face while in the subway while the other was beaten up while she's on her way to church.

This has convinced her, along with other personalities like Christina Baal-Owens (Organizer), former first lady Hillary Clinton, Margaret Cho, among others, to start #AAPIWomenStrong.
