Fil-Am Clarkson gives new minority owner Wade a warm welcome in Jazz home win

Jordan Clarkson gave new minority owner Dwyane Wade a warm welcome shortly after the Utah Jazz’s 119-111 home victory over the Indiana Pacers.

The Fil-American guard chatted with Wade after the game held at the Vivint Smart Home Arena before paying tribute to the NBA legend with an Instagram post.

“sixx back in action! felt great to be out there again with my dawgs! congrats and welcome @dwyanewade first win as owner!” said Clarkson, who also returned to action after missing four games due to an injury on his shooting hand.

Clarkson scored 18 points for the Jazz, who won despite trailing by 17 points but lost their star guard Donovon Mitchell after hurting his ankle.

Utah still holds the best record in the NBA with a 42-14 record.

Wade made news prior to the game by purchasing a stake in the Jazz ownership while also expressing interest in playing an active role within the organization.

He joins the ownership group led by tech billionaire Ryan Smith, who bought the Jazz from the Miller family last year for $1.66 billion (P80.25 billion).

The ex-Miami Heat star, who had been working as a studio analyst for TNT's Tuesday night broadcasts, has been praising the way Clarkson has made himself a leading candidate for this season's Sixth Man of the Year award.

Wade even said that he would like to be Clarkson if given a chance to come out of retirement.
