Willie Revillame takes the COVID-19 vaccine

He may be a comedic host on "Wowowin" but he's all serious when it comes to helping those in need, and more recently when taking the Chinese company-made Sinovac vaccine.

This happened on Tuesday, April 13, live from his program, Willie showed his bandaged arm for thousands of his viewers to see.

“Kanina ho ay nagpa-injection na ako. Nagpa-vaccine na po ako ng Sinovac vaccine. So ayan po, kanina po 'yan, alas dos. Ayan, kadarating ko lang. Humabol nga ako dito ngayon at gusto kong magpasalamat sa mga taga-DOH, sa lahat po ng mga tao doon in the presence of doctors, mga nurses," he explained.

The widely-followed "Kuya Wil" went on to explain the reason behind his decision despite being a senior citizen at 60.

“Kasi proteksyon natin 'to eh. Pumayag na po tayo na magpa-inject," he said.

Willie is scheduled to have his second shot on May 11.
