South Built Esports beats Vietnam's 496 for first win in DPC S2-SEA

Carrying a new name but exuding the same winning mentality, South Built Esports stunned the favored 496 Gaming of Vietnam, 2-1, to take the first win in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Season 2-Southeast Asia Lower Division on Monday night, April 12.

Emerging midlaner Mark Anthony "Bob" Urbina on his Ember Spirit waxed hot in the deciding Game 3 as the team formerly known as Vice Esports cruised to a victorious debut in the second season of DPC.

Bob slashed his way to 19 kills and 13 assists with only a single death to ignite SBE's lopsided 35-12 victory in just 33 minutes in the series-clinching game.

Bob and the Vice Esports mainstays also avenged their 2-0 loss to the Vietnamese side back in their Upper Division battle in the previous season.

New carry Denz Daryll "Abat" Anedez seemed to have finally found his comfort squad as he played dominantly on his Gyrocopter (17-1-10 kill-death-assist record) to hand South Built a head start in the opening series.

With the 10K MMR carry from Cignal Ultra on board, SBE is hoping to find its way back to the Upper Division where spots to the Major tournaments and DPC points essential for The International qualification are up for grabs.

The team still has veteran support Joshua "Samael" Dela Serna (popularly known as Owa), offlaner Michael Roi "Enryu" Ladines and position-5 support Ryniel Keit "Zenki" Calvez while carry Jinn "Palos" Lamatao transferred to Execration.

Owa and his crew fell to the Lower Division after finishing at the bottom two spots together with 496 in the Upper Division last season.
