Shopee sales jump during mega shop day

Shopee Philippines sold six times more items during its recent 4.4 Mega Shopping Day compared to an average day.

In a statement, the online shopping platform reported that at the Midnight Mega Sale held from 12am to 2am, Shopee saw 6 times more items sold compared to an average day.

According to the company, home & living, beauty & personal care, and mobile accessories emerged as the top-selling categories. Hygiene essentials and personal care items remained a top priority for shoppers.

Storage boxes and 3D wallpapers became best-selling items, since shoppers bought more home decor and organizers for spring cleaning and refurbishing as they spent more time at home.

Tech accessories also saw strong demand as Filipinos continued to work from home. Phone stands and headsets were especially popular as Filipinos focused on connecting better with their colleagues and refining their work-from-home set-up.
