Mayor Vico Sotto thanks celebrities for P1M donation to Pasig

Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto recently extended his gratitude to several celebrities who donated cash to their municipality.

During his Facebook Live, Vico gave a shoutout to actresses Anne Curtis and Angel Locsin for the P1 million donation.

"Dinonate nila ito walang fanfare, walang media. Ni hindi nga kami nagkita. Iniwan lang nila 'yung tseke," he shared. "Thank you sa lahat ng iba pang tumutulong, at nagmamalasakit, alam ko man o hindi."

Anne and Angel were among the 44 entertainment personalities who donated P6 million cash raised from an initiative that will help the country in the fight against COVID-19.

On Instagram March 25, Angel said that the P6 million proceeds from Shop and Share online store will be split among five cities and an organization active in the fight against the pandemic.

The chosen beneficiaries are: Pasig City, Baguio City, Taguig City, Quezon City, Manila, and Philippine Red Cross.
