Vico Sotto says mom hasn't gotten COVID-19 vaccine yet

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has assured his constituents that there is no special treatment in the distribution of vaccine, saying that his mother actress Coney Reyes who is a senior hasn't gotten the vaccine yet.

"Strictly, no walk-in... Pinipilit natin na maging maayos yung sistema... Kung nagkukumpulan tayo, baka doon pa magkahawahan," Sotto said, in a report by ABS-CBN on April 12.

"Nanay ko nga mismo, hindi pa nababakunahan."

"Lumalabas pa siya 'pag may trabaho. Pero walang palakasan. Dumaan po sa tamang proseso. Nag-fill up siya ng form," said Vico, whose mom is already 67 years old.

"Hinihingi niya pa nga sa'kin 'yung link. Sabi ko, 'Tingnan mo na lang sa PIO (Public Information Office), Ma, kung saan 'yung link."

Vico said that his mother is expected to get the jab against COVID-19 this week or next week.

Appeal to constituents

Vico also made an appeal to his constituents to stop sending photos of COVID-19 jab in their buttocks.

The charismatic mayor said that it's okay to get the vaccine from behind. But he said that he is too busy to find out their injection sites in the body.

“Minsan kasi kapag may tattoo, bawal magpaturok sa braso. Hindi puwede sa tattoo side magpa-injection, so minsan may nagpapadala sa’kin, nakadalawa na ata, picture nila na nabakunahan sa puwet.

“Okay lang naman mabakunahan sa puwet. Normal ‘yan, medical naman ang usapan e pero pakiusap, ‘wag ninyo na po i-send sa akin.

“Ang dami ko na po iniisip, ‘wag niyo na pong idagdag ang puwet niyo sa iniisip ko,” Vico said.
