Arci Muñoz pays tribute to Filipino war veterans

Actress-Sergeant reservist Arci Muñoz shared bits of her military journey in honor of the Filipinos veterans who sacrificed their lives for the country.

Along with some recent photos from a relief operation, Arci wrote: "You are capable of what you know. Aim High and Persist! The world needs all you can give. I'm one with the Philippine Air Force and the whole nation in commemorating the 79th #philippineveteransweek.

"Snappy salute to all my brothers and sisters in the force," she ended

According to the Philippine Veterans Association Office's website, "In 1989, by virtue of Proclamation No. 466, President Corazon C. Aquino declared the period of April 5 to 11 of every year as the PHILIPPINE VETERANS WEEK. This is to promote, preserve, and memorialize the principles, ideals and deeds of our war veterans as a means to enhance patriotism and love for the country, especially among the youth.

"This week-long observance is an occasion to honor not only the Filipino war veterans who fought during World War II but all those who rendered honorable military service in defending the country in time of war or peace."

Arci, 32, is currently focused on her food business, coming off a vacation in Boracay, where she along with her best friend JM de Guzman shocked the showbiz world with their announcement.
