Regine Velasquez-Alcasid cryptic tweet about rising COVID-19 cases goes viral

Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid sparked a conversation after venting out her stress on the rising COVID-19 cases recently.

In her own words, Regine lamented what she believes is currently happening in our country: "Bakit parang pinabayaan na lang tayo? Kanya-kanya matira matibay ganon na lang ba talaga?" she tweeted.

Some netizens disagreed with her tweet.

"Ahm, Idol wag sanang OA, kakatanggap lang ng family at friends ko ng panibagong ayuda and di tayo nag-iisa, buong mundo po idol nahihirapan hindi lang tayo."

"Sadyang maraming matitigas ang ulo kaya pati ang nag-iingat nadadamay tapos isisisi sa gobyerno."

Others agreed with her.

"Nakakapanlumo, sa lahat ng problema walang magandang solusyon ang gobyerno. Hindi marunong tumanggap ng suggestion."

"The resiliency and toughness of Filipinos is being exploited by this administration!"

On Saturday, April 10, the Department of Health logged 12,674 new COVID-19 cases as the total soared to 853,206.
