A rise in recoveries of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients has been recorded in Pasay City, City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CESU) Head Mico Llorca said Tuesday (March 9).

In a radio interview on DWIZ, Llorca said that as of March 8, the city logged a total of 501 active cases, which is lower than its March 7 record of 515 active cases.
"Bumaba po ito kasi yung recoveries po namin tumataas po ngayon. So, nakapagtala po kami ng 95 na bagong recoveries kahapon (It decreased because our recoveries are increasing and yesterday we recorded 95 patients who have recovered from COVID-19)," Llorca said.
"Good news po ito sana magtuloy-tuloy po (This is good news and we hope it continues)," he added.
The Pasay Public Information Office (PIO) said that only 53 houses in 60 barangays are under localized enhanced community quarantine.
The city had earlier placed under lockdown 210 households in 77 barangays.
Households in the city have been placed under lockdown as early as February 20 since the CESU observed that most of the transmissions are occuring in households or families
