PVL teams start training

Some Premier Volleyball League teams have reportedly started training after local government units of San Juan City and Mandaluyong have given them the go signal.

Reports said Creamline and Choco Mucho have started practicing at the Ronac Gym in Mandaluyong under strict government health protocols.

The Games and Amusements Board (GAB) has recently cleared three venues for team training: Ronac gym, Greenhills West gym and The Arena in San Juan City.

The last step was to get the green light from the LGUs, which was now given.

Other teams are expected to start training next week.

Organizer Sports Vision President Ricky Palou said players must undergo swab tests every 10 days as part of health protocol. Four to five players at a time with a coach and health officer/therapist are only allowed inside the court for social distancing.

Players are also not allowed to show at the training venues and must do this when they get home, and venues must be properly sanitized.

The season will start with the Open Conference tentatively scheduled on May 8 at Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna.
