Pacquiao honors wife Jinkee, Filipinas on Int'l Women's Day

Filipino boxer-turned-senator Manny Pacquiao honored the Filipino women, including his wife Jinkee, in celebration of International Women's Day.

Pacquiao, through his social media channels, said it is about time that Filipinas and women get the recognition they deserve especially in these times.

The 42-year-old Pacquiao bannered Jinkie, clad in pink and white formal wear, on the publication material with the hashtag #ChooseToChallenge.

"It's a great time to celebrate women empowerment. The ever changing world paves way to Filipinas around the globe and it's about time they get the recognition they deserve," wrote Pacquiao Monday, March 8.

"Mabuhay po ang bawat #MalayangPilipina saan mang sulok ng mundo! Happy International Women's Day!" Jinkee also reposted it on Instagram Story.

Manny and Jinkee have been married for more than two decades now, exactly on May 10, 1999. The couple tied the knot anew the following year in a church ceremony on May 9.

They are blessed with five children namely Emmanuel Jr. (Jimuel), Michael, Princess, Queenie and Israel.

International Women's day is celebrated globally on March 8 while Women’s History Month is observed for the whole month.
