KZ Tandingan urges everyone to support 'Gabay,' 'Raya and the Last Dragon'

KZ Tandingan is beyond thankful for the opportunity to sing 'Gabay' on Disney's "RAYA and The Last Dragon."

Now, KZ encourages everyone to support her and the South East Asian theme inspired animated film from Disney.

On her appearance in "Magandang Buhay" last Thursday, she said, "I hope you support because this is history.We are making history as Filipinos that we already have our own Disney song. I hope we all support (each other)."

KZ also shared that she is a longtime fan of Disney character Mulan, as well as some details on how she became the chosen singer of "Gabay."

"They said they wanted me to do it. Noong una nga medyo 'totoo pa ba? Baka nagkamali lang po ng send ng message.'

"Kasi hindi ba parang I don't sound like the singers who are often chosen. Last year nangyari 'yung coordination and everything. Ayun nga 'di ako makapaniwala, hindi ako 'yung usual type of artist na i-expect mo na kakanta ("Gabay")." she ended.

For over a decade, Filipinos regarded Lea Salonga's "Reflection" performance as our own, but now we could proudly add KZ's "Gabay" in the ever-growing list of world-renowned performances from our artists.
