Aiza Maizo-Pontillas joins Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors in PSL

Aiza Maizo-Pontillas becomes the latest addition to the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors, the team announced Friday, March 5.

“The instruction from Sta. Lucia’s team owner is clear: Get someone who can score at will. And who fits that description to a T? none other than one of Philippine volleyball’s queens, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas!” the team’s social media post read.

“Your leadership, skills and character will be a boost to our 2021 campaigns. LET’S GET IT!!!”

The 32-year-old opposite spiker and former University of Santo Tomas standout has played for several teams that include Petron since 2016.

She was also part of the national team that won bronze in the first leg of the 2019 ASEAN Grand Prix in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

Pontillas won individual awards during her club stints with the Superliga including the 2017 All-Filipino Most Valuable Player, and Best Opposite Spiker in the 2018 and 2019 Invitational Cup, and 2018 All-Filipino Conferences.

Pontillas will be reunited with former Petron teammate Mika Reyes.
