P/$ rate closes at P48.48/$1

The peso closed higher  at P48.48  to the US dollar Wednesday, (March 3)  from  P48.565 the previous day.  The weighted  average rate  appreciated   to  P48.531   from P48.571.  Total volume amounted  to  $1.094.75 million, according to the Bankers Association of the Philippines.
