'Tzy' brothers hand Bren Esports first win at Execration's expense

Finally, reigning world and local champion Bren Esports broke into the win column of the MPL Philippines Season 7. 

Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno and David "FlapTzy" Canon carried Bren to a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Execration on Sunday, March 28. 

M2 Grand Finals MVP KarlTzy's Brody wreaked havoc in Game 2 before combining forces with FlapTzy's Khaleed in Game 3 to pull the black and yellow squad out of its slump. 

Bren improved to three points on a 1-3 series win-loss record to tie Work Auster Force in Group A but still behind Aura PH and Onic PH. 

For its part, Execration absorbed its second straight setback after a 2-0 loss to Blacklist International last Friday but stayed at No. 3 in Group B with four points at the moment. 

Execration pulled out Bren's kryptonite, the Diggie feeding strategy, at the hands of Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog to put on a 12-minute domination in the series opener that ended with a 12K gold lead. 

KarlTzy on his Brody, however, forced the do-or-die game as he racked up nine kills and four assists without a death in Bren's lopsided 15-3 victory in just 10 minutes.

FlapTzy on his Khaleed then stepped up in Game 3 as he and KarlTzy on Claude spearheaded Bren's five-man wipe of Execration on top of a Lord kill to seize the series with a 20-8 win in 11 minutes. 

FlapTzy finished with a flawless record of seven kills and eight assists as he posted a 75 percent kill participation.
