San Miguel Beer’s Chris Ross couldn’t hide his disappointment with Metro Manila and surrounding provinces set for a return to a stricter Enhanced Community Quarantine regulation on Monday, March 29.
The government’s decision to place the said areas under ECQ meant that PBA teams will be barred from holding practices until Easter Sunday, April 4, dealing the pro league another setback in its preparation for the 46th season.
“Not gonna lie this really sucks,” Ross tweeted Saturday, March 26. “A year after lockdown we are doing even worse with the virus. Can’t take much more of just sitting in the house not doing what I love to do.

“Praying for everyone’s strength, physical and mental health during these times!!” added Ross.
Ross later took to Instagram to offer a more positive approach.
“Keep a smile on your face and spread happiness in a time when it is much needed!” the former PBA Finals Most Valuable Player said.
“We as one can’t do everything but everyone can do something to help this country flatten the curve. Stay blessed everyone!
The defensive specialist has been upbeat over the upcoming season, even shedding a significant amount of weight during a six-week period.
But Ross and the rest of the players may have to wait a little longer before a definite date for the new PBA season is set.
