Blacklist International reasserts domination over Execration with 2-0 sweep in MPL

Blacklist International reasserted its mastery against Execration with a dominant 2-0 sweep in their rematch in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Friday, March 26. 

Blacklist punished Execration's target-banning on Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna as the Tier One Entertainment-backed team posted a repeat of its victory in the Juicy Legends Tournament. 

A few days before the MPL PH kicked off, Blacklist captured back-to-back titles in the Juicy Legends after crushing Execration, 3-1, in the grand finals. 

Blacklist also scored its second straight win in the MPL to take the top spot in Group B at the moment with five points while Execration remained holding its three markers. 

Exe's strategy of banning OhMyV33nus' heroes failed anew with Edward "EDWARD" Dapadap, Kiel "OHEB" Soriano and Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario securing their comfort picks in the series. 

EDWARD's Benedetta came through with a 3-5-10 kill-death-assist record and OHEB's Harith put up 5-1-7 as they took charge in the 20-16 win in Game 1. 

Jayson "ESON" Gerardo's Khufra also came up with multiple Tyrant's Rage setups en route to 13 assists with two kills against five deaths. 

OHEB on his Harith again then joined forces with Wise on his signature Yi Sun-Shin to power Blacklist's comeback 13-9 triumph in Game 2. 

Execration had the upper hand in the early stages but Blacklist was able to stall the game through OhMyV33nus' Mathilda and ESON's Jawhead before OHEB and Wise went online. 

Blacklist was able to pick off Kiel "Kielvj" Hernandez's Benedetta and Patrick "E2MAX" Caidic's Angela leading to a Lord take in the 11th minute. 

Wise was able to kite Execration with the help of the Guiding Wind from OhMyV33nus as the Lord marched on to the bottom lane. 

Blacklist closed out the series with a five-man wipe of Execration inside their base.
