Miley Cyrus pens a sweet letter to Hannah Montana

Believe it or not, Hannah responded!

Hollywood actress Miley Cyrus celebrates the 15th anniversary of the premiere of the show that made her one of the teen idols of the 2000s, “Hannah Montana,” by writing her character a letter.

In a tweet, Miley shared photos of her said letter written in “Hannah Montana” stationery with a caption, “I still love you 15 years later.”

“Although you are considered to be an ‘alter ego,’ in reality there was a time in my life when you held more of my identity in your glovette than I did in my bare hands,” Miley says in the letter. “You were a rocket that flew me to the moon and never brought me back down.”

In the letter, she also recalled her best and lowest moments during the time she was portraying the high school girl who lives a double life as a pop star (disguised by a blonde wig). Among those moments were the passing of his grandfather while filming an episode for season one, falling in love with a cast member that turned out to be an embarassing situation for her, and the family and friends she gained throughout the six-year run of the show. 

“Hannah, I hope you can hear me and believe those words are true. You have all my love and upmost gratitude,” she writes. “Breathing life into you for those six years was an honor. I am indebted not only to you Hannah but to any and everyone who believed in me from the beginning.”

And, believed it or not, the character responded to Miley’s letter. The official Twitter account of Hannah Montana retweeted the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s tweet saying, “Nice to hear from you, Miley Cyrus. It’s only been a decade.”

Thanks to Miley’s tweet, Hannah Montana trends on Twitter today, raking up over 134,000 reactions from fans as of writing.

Truly, Miley and Hannah gave us the best of both worlds!
