Multinational ride-hailing company starts initiative to encourage Filipinos to support local farmers and show gratitude to frontliners

Grab Philippines, in partnership with agri-social enterprise Zagana, launched its Salamat sa Ani initiative last March 17 to create a positive impact on the lives of many Filipinos through its technology and platform.

Through this initiative, Grab will support farming communities that the company helped digitalize since the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) phase. At the same time, the initiative is also meant to encourage more Filipinos to show their gratitude towards their loved ones and frontliners who have risked their lives and helped them cope with the new normal.

Contents of the Salamat Sa Ani gift sets include fresh corn, bananas, and lime sourced directly from Zagana farmers in Benguet, Pangasinan, and Cavite. The gift sets are exclusively available on GrabMart for only P299.

With every order of fresh produce made on the Grab app, users are able to support the livelihoods of tens of thousands of driver-partners, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as well as local farming communities who are also facing the socio-economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Salamat Sa Ani is one of the latest GrabforGood initiatives led by Grab Philippines. It leverages Grab’s available technology and platform to support the needs of Filipino communities and help improve their lives and livelihoods.
