Janno Gibbs to play Kuya Germs in Isko Moreno's musical biopic

Janno Gibbs will play the role of the late German "Kuya Germs" Moreno in the upcoming musical biopic “Yorme.”

"This is why I shaved. Honored to be playing Kuya Germs. Oh and I get to sing and dance too," Janno said on his recent Instagram post.

Last March 18, Janno shared that he had to shave his hair for the new movie he's shooting.

The seasoned comedian will be joining Mccoy de Leon and Xian Lim, who will be playing the young and present-day Isko Moreno, respectively.

The upcoming project, a co-production of Viva Films and Saranggola Productions, under the direction of Joven Tan, will feature the humble beginnings of Isko as a scavenger, stint in show business and his rise in politics when he was elected as mayor of Manila.
