Destiny Rogers thanks BLACKPINK's Lisa for boosting 'Tomboy': 'You changed my life'

Rising American singer-songwriter Destiny Rogers thanked K-pop group BLACKPINK’s Lisa for her tremendous help in boosting her song ‘Tomboy” on music charts.

Destiny Rogers, 21, released a new version of “Tomboy” featuring rapper Coi Leray on March 19.

The new version was released following Lisa’s performance of “Tomboy” together with Cheshir Ha, Bada Lee, Monroe Lee and Dazzle Kim in the mini-film “Lili’s Movie” that was uploaded on YouTube on Feb. 12.

Lisa posted on Instagram about the mini-film last Feb. 13 and to date, “Lili’s Movie” has racked up 44.92 million views.

Following Lisa’s post, Destiny Rogers’ “Tomboy” peaked at No. 12 on Spotify’ Viral 50 Global chart and has been on the weekly chart.

In a video call with Lisa, Destiny Rogers told her, “Thank you so much for everything,” and Lisa said, “Your song is so cool.”

“You really changed my life and I’m not kidding. The song is like blowing up everywhere,” Destiny told Lisa.

“I heard that,” said Lisa to which Destiny replied, “That’s so great. I just wanna say thank you.”

“Tomboy” has over 44 million audio streams and was produced by Grammy-winning producers and songwriters The Stereotypes responsible for Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic” album and Cardi B and Bruno Mars’ “Please Me.”

Destiny Rogers is currently in the studio working on new material. Her recent collaborations include co-writing G-Eazy and Kiana Lede’s “A Little More” and is featured on Phora’s new track “the art of letting go.”
