PAL issues new travel advisory

Philippine Airlines (PAL) will only carry passengers traveling for non-leisure purposes between Manila and domestic stations from today, March 22, to April 4, the flag carrier stated in its latest advisory issued this afternoon.

This was in line with the latest resolution of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Infectious Diseases (IATF) allowing only essential travelers in and out of the National Capital Region within the next two weeks.

Domestic leisure travelers affected by these restrictions have three options, according to PAL.

They can convert their ticket to a Travel Voucher and make their request until June 30, 2021.

A second option id to avail of unlimited rebooking, with no rebooking fee, until December 31, 2021.

If the passenger will be completing his travel in the same booking class by June 30, 2021 (or ticket validity, whichever comes first), there will be no fare difference charge.

Lastly, the passenger can ask for a refund of his ticket without penalties.

They can request any of the options via the myPAL Request Hub at https://mypal.vip/url/RequestHub.

If the passenger is a leisure traveler already in a domestic destination and wish to return home, PAL will operate flights to Manila to accommodate returning leisure travelers.

If he is a Returning Overseas Filipino (ROF), Locally Stranded Individual (LSI) or Authorized Person Outside of Residence (APOR), PAL will continue to accept the passenger on flights, provided that he secures all requirements by his Local Government Unit (LGU).

Essential travelers must present valid identification showing proof of residence, on top of other requirements of their respective LGUs.

This is an evolving situation, PAL underscored.
