Kris Aquino says it's time to put words into action

Following tirades against her critics, Kris Aquino said on Monday that it's high time to put her words into action.

"I have had many enlightening conversations since yesterday…nakinig ako dun sa mga pinagkakatiwalaan ko dahil ramdam ko ang pagmamahal at tunay na malasakit nila… in the coming weeks and months the lessons i have learned will be put into very visible action.

"Nasabi ko, 'actions speak so much louder than mere words' .. so no more angry pronouncements - hindi si Taylor ang qu-quote ngayon - tagline na ng Nike: JUST DO IT," said Aquino on Instagram March 22.

Aquino made the statement after she got fed up with nasty and vicious attacks on her sons Joshua and Bimby. "Tama na. Sobra na. Lalaban na,” she warned critics, upon the release of her two-part video last March 21.

We are living in 2021. Bimb is tall, he is good-looking, he is well educated, he is intelligent. First honor siya ‘di ba? He is articulate, respectful, hindi sya palamura and he happens to be very mature.

"It’s simple. It’s how much I love my sons. I am exhausted from reading comments na ‘ignore them’ or ‘choose your battles.’ Please, I ask you, I know you mean well but please do not decide for me because they are not your sons. Ako ang nanay nila. So I made my choice.

Aquino also quoted lyrics from the song "Mad Woman" by Taylor Swift. "No one likes a mad woman. You made her like that. You’ll poke that bear till her claws come out and you find something to wrap your news around and there’s nothing like a mad woman. I am taking my time, taking my time because you took everything from me. Watching you climb, watching you climb over people like me.”

Also on March 22, Aquino also expressed concern over the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.

"God bless the Philippines, more than 8,000 cases were announced today, more than 80,000 current active cases," she wrote.
