MayWard, Daniel, Charlie win in 6th Push Awards

Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Daniel Padilla, and Charlie Dizon lead the Filipino digital stars and online personalities that were recognized in the 6th Push Awards held virtually last March 19.

Fans of Maymay and Edward came through again as the tandem won the Push Popular Love Team award. Daniel, on the other hand, was hailed Push Music Personality of the Year, while the Push Breakthrough Star of 2020 was awarded to Charlie Dizon, who proved that the lockdown did not hinder her from showcasing her talents.

This year, Push Awards also honored personalities who spread good vibes and inspiration in these challenging times. Winners for the Push Inspiration category, which was selected by Push management, are Angel Locsin, Kim Chiu, and Iza Calzado, who were recognized for their efforts in promoting and spreading awareness about important and relevant issues especially during the pandemic.

Kim, whose jump rope videos are a hit among netizens, also won in the Push Fitspiration Celebrity category. Other winners this year include Tony Labrusca and JC Alcantara, who were recognized as Push Popular BL Couple for their boys’ love (BL) roles in “Hello Stranger,” and Alex Gonzaga, who bested Kim Chiu, Julia Barretto, Ivana Alawi, and Heart Evangelista for the Push Popular Digital Star award. Meanwhile, Internet sensation and online personality Mimiyuuuh, bagged the award for Push Trending TikToker.

The Push Awards aims to honor the biggest stars and to empower and engage fans through active digital participation. Fans took part in voting for their favorite celebrities in seven of the eight categories of the event. Held yearly by ABS-CBN Entertainment’s website PUSH.com.ph, it is one of the digital initiatives of ABS-CBN, which is rapidly transitioning into an agile digital company with the biggest online presence among all media companies, and a growing list of digital properties.
