Bren Esports might have won it all already, but the team remains hungry to make history starting with the MPL Philippines Season 7.
Led by world champion coach Francis "Duckeyyy" Glindro, Bren stormed through the competition last season en route to its second MPL crown in franchise history and first under the black and yellow banner.
After defending its throne in The Nationals, Bren went on to dominate the M2 World Championship two months ago, capping its world title run with a 4-3 victory over Burmese Ghouls of Myanmar.
Bren still boasts of its championship caliber roster composed of Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno (jungler/core), CJ "Ribo" Ribo (side laner), Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel (captain-mage/support), Allan "Lusty" Castromayor (tank), David "FlapTzy" Canon and EJ "Ejhay" Sambrano (sixth man).
Duckeyyy stressed that his players remain eager to keep their stranglehold of their titles not just in the MPL PH Season 7.
"First off, starting with the first half of the year, (our goal) is to defend our (MPL) throne twice in Season 7 and Season 8," said the two-time world champion coach.
"And then the goal for this year is definitely to defend our world title. I strongly believe that the team is capable of doing it knowing their personalities and knowing that they want to achieve that as well."
Duckeyyy and his boys are out to clash against Aura PH, Onic PH, Cignal Ultra and Work Auster Force in Group A.
Bren starts its MPL title-retention bid versus Onic in the second game on Saturday, March 20, at 6 p.m.
