Isko Moreno approves of Xian Lim portraying him in upcoming biopic

Xian Lim is set to play the role of present-day Isko Moreno in the upcoming musical biopic “Yorme.”

In an article published on ABS-CBN, the Manila City Mayor expressed approval of Kim Chiu's boyfriend taking on the task.

“I am thankful...Bagay naman sa kaniya,” he said. “I think Xian can give justice to the character. I believe in him and I hope he can inspire other people through this movie.”

The upcoming project, a co-production of Viva Films and Saranggola Productions, under the direction of Joven Tan, is said to feature the humble beginning of Isko as scavenger to him joining the 1990s youth-oriented talent discovery show “That’s Entertainment” until he was elected Manila Mayor.

Note that a few days ago, Saranggola Media’s Edith Fider also teased that Xian already did some scenes, uploading a cropped picture of him.

"Konting tumbling na lang at mga ilang pirouette.... YORME na!," she wrote.

Prior, Mccoy de Leon, who will play the young Isko, also did some of his scenes in Tondo.
