Former PBA player Mac Cardona nabbed for serious physical injuries case

Former PBA player Mac Cardona found himself in jail anew.

Cardona was arrested on Thursday morning, March 18, for serious physical injuries, the Mandaluyong City police said.

Police report disclosed that Judge Ma. Victoria Q. Padilla-Awid of Taguig City MTC Branch 116 had issued a warrant of arrest which was served to Cardona at around 9 a.m. at Maysilo Circle in Brgy. Plainview, Mandaluyong City.

Other details, however, were not disclosed but several reports stated that Cardona is currently detained at the Custodial Facility Unit of Mandaluyong City Police Station. He will be presented to the court of origin for proper disposition.

It would be recalled that the 39-year-old Cardona was involved in a brawl at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City in February last year, where he can be seen throwing punches and kicking several individuals.

This wasn't the first time that the former PBA player was nabbed by the police as Cardona allegedly stabbed his former live-in partner Bianca Nicole Jackes while "high on drugs."
