Ely Buendia divides fans with new song 'Metro'

The former Eraserheads frontman is back with new music but some fans aren't too happy about it.

They believe Ely Buendia is being too critical of the current administration in his new release dubbed "Metro."

Apparently, they don't think he has the right to do so.

Some of the comments:

"Akala mo kung sino magaling, di mo nga maayos banda mo e..."

"Isa rin itong nagdudunong-dunongan, pwe!"

"So disappointed with Ely..."

But what did he say in the song, really?

Part of the lyrics read:

We don't get it.

It actually sounds as if he is just exhorting fellow Pinoys to pick a better leader for next time.

Which is apt as based on the description box, he wrote it for We Need A Leader PH, a non-partisan voters education advocacy.

But they don't care.

One said, "Bayaran, dilawan!"

Another added, "Makapagsalita ka! Ikaw kaya umupo bilang pangulo? Basta pro-admin pa rin ako! Ibasura si Ely!"

Is it just us or naysayers actually believe all that Ely said in the song applies to those currently in power?

You decide.
