Anya Taylor and her winning modern '70s look

Her makeup artist shares tips on getting ready for the Golden Globes awards

Not only has Anya Taylor inspired many to play chess again, women all over the world are swooning over her winning look at last night's 78th Golden Globes awards.

Dressed in a striking plunging neckline ball gown by Dior Couture, the now-blonde lady looked stunning with flawless skin and defined eyes. Simple makeup that highlighted her natural features.

Makeup artist Georgie Eisdell used Dior products on Taylor and shares that her inspiration for the makeup look originated from the Dior gown that she was wearing. "The look has a little '70s vibe to it, so I wanted to lean into that but keep it modern, so we went with a smokey bronzed eye, gorgeous fluffy lashes, and soft cheeks. To pull it all together, I opted for a modern, nude lip," she says.

But before putting the actual makeup, Eidsell prepped Taylor's skin by massaging Dior Capture Totale C.E.L.L. Energy Super Potent Serum onto her skin and applied eye cream (from the same skincare range) to revitalise and smoothen her under eye area. "To finish, I used The Dior Capture Totale Super Potent Rich Creme to lock in moisture and give a beautiful radiant healthy glow."

Lastly, pulling off nude lips is always a challenge. Eidsell shares these tips, "I prepped her lips with The Rouge Dior #000 Dior Natural to hydrate and moisten her lips before I applied The Rouge Dior #434 Promenade. I then sharpened the edges using The Dior Contour #100 Nude Look."
