Garena kicks off 2021 CGI

Garena announced the 2021 Call of Duty: Mobile Garena Invitational which invites the best Call of Duty: Mobile teams from across the Garena region.

The 2021 CGI is a continuation of the previous cross-region event, the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2020 – Garena Qualifiers, which featured numerous high level match-ups.

The tournament invites the best eight teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau in a two-stage format.

Group Stage will be played for two weeks from March 19 to 21 and March 26 to 28. This will see eight teams battle each other once in a round-robin format, with three games to be played for each versus.

The top six teams will advance to the second stage – the elimination Stage – which will be played on April 3 to 4 in a double elimination format. The top two teams from the Group Stage will be allocated into the upper bracket and the rest of the teams will be in the lower bracket. Each match will be played in best of five format.

NRX Jeremiah 29:11 banners the list of teams as a direct invite being the champion of the 2020 Garena Region Qualifier. Thailand earns one slot as the host of the tournament.

Other representativs are DG Esports of Indonesia, Yoodo RSG of Malaysia, NU Anarchy of the Philippines, ALMGHTY of Sinapore, Raptors.DNS of Taiwang/Hong Kong/Macau, and Sharper Esport of Thailand.
