Angel Locsin cries foul after Duterte's speech

Seasoned actress Angel Locsin has expressed her two cents about the speech of President Duterte which he delivered a few days ago.

Duterte has said: "Kaya natin ito COVID na ito. Maliit na bagay ito sa buhay natin."

On Instagram, Angel reacted: "Maliit na bagay? Baka po sa inyo, Sir. Para sa amin po kasi malaki. Malaking utang. Malaking taas ng cases. Malaking human rights violations."

The President has assured Filipinos, especially the poor, that they will not be left behind in the campaign against COVID-19,

In his speech, the President asked the public not to lose hope during the pandemic.

Duterte has said that Filipinos have survived difficult situations. “Huwag kayong matakot at hindi ko kayo iiwanan."

On March 15, the Philippines marked its first year of lockdown. As of May 18, the Philippines has reported 635,698 COVID-19 cases, 12,866 of whom died while 561,099 recovered.
