"This was taken during the landscape photography workshop in Batanes conducted by Jijo De Guzman. It was the final day of our trip, and we had a scheduled sunrise photoshoot at Diura Beach which features some big limestone formations, carved by the powerful waves that struck the island. Luckily, when we arrived at the location, the sky started to cast crepuscular rays, caused by the clouds that were blocking the sun. Quickly, we headed to look for compositions, and as for me, I ended up choosing the largest rock as my foreground, placing exactly the rays behind it. I wanted to capture the blessing of a majestic sunrise, having that sense of hopeful and glory of a new day.” – Bayani dela Pasion
