CARMONA, Cavite - The municipal government announced on Monday (March 15) the implementation of a liquor ban during the town fiesta.

On March 18 and 19, the selling, buying, and consumption of alcoholic drinks will be prohibited.
Aside from the liquor ban, the local government unit (LGU) also advised residents to celebrate at home and refrain from entertaining out-of-town guests.
All church activities scheduled for the Feast of Saint Joseph will be streamed live through the Facebook page of St. Joseph Parish - Carmona.
Like most LGUs in Cavite, Carmona is experiencing a surge in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases over the past weeks.
In a Facebook post on March 13, Mayor Roy M. Loyola said the municipality's number of infections in the first half of March surpassed the total number of cases it recorded in February.
