11 new COVID-19 cases, 2 recoveries among overseas Filipinos -- DFA

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday reported 11 new COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) cases and two new recoveries among Filipino nationals abroad.

No new fatality was reported in the DFA’s latest tally.
These new cases, according to the DFA, were recorded in the Asia and the Pacific and Europe.
This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections among overseas Filipinos to 15,892. Of this total, 9,565 have recovered, 5,284 are undergoing treatment and 1,043 died due to infections.
As of March 16, 2021, the Middle East and Africa remains to be the region with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, recoveries, under treatment and fatalities among overseas Filipinos.
The DFA daily report showed that the Americas continue to record the least number in all categories compared to other geographical regions, except in the total number of deaths wherein Asia and the Pacific ranks lowest with a total of only 21.
