BTS wows host Trevor Noah with rooftop performance of 'Dynamite' at the Grammys

K-pop superstars BTS wowed host Trevor Noah when they performed their hit song “Dynamite” at the 63rd Grammy Awards on a rooftop helipad of a hotel building in Seoul.
“Did you see that? They were in Seoul, Korea the whole time. They recreated the whole set over there because they couldn’t be here but they wanted to be here. So then they rebuilt here over there. I mean, there should be an award just for that. It was amazing,” said Noah after BTS’ musical extravaganza at the awards ceremony held on March 14 in the US (March 15 in the Philippines)
The elaborate “Dynamite” number by BTS was actually filmed on the rooftop helipad of the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul hotel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, that offered a sweeping view of the famous Han River.
The hotel, which opened only last month, is part of the Parc 1 complex that includes two skyscrapers and has 29 floors and 326 guest rooms.
A few days before the Grammy Awards, photos spread on online communities in Korea of the setup on Fairmont’s rooftop helipad with netizens correctly guessing that it could be for BTS’ Grammy performance.
BTS were nominated at the Grammys for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their hit song “Dynamite,” becoming the first K-pop act to get a Grammy nomination, but failed to win. The award went to “Rain On Me” by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande.
But despite the setback, BTS expressed their appreciation to BTS ARMYs for their support.
"Thank you for supporting us, thanks to you we're going through this unbelievable experience. We are truly grateful and happy. We love you Army!" posted Jimin on Twitter, according to Yonhap News.
On the Weverse app, Suga posted, "Let's get it going this year” while Jungkook wrote, "Thank you for being with us every moment and we'll make sure to return your love and support."
