NCT 127 appears on Trevor Noah's 'Remotely Educational' daytime special

K-pop boy band NCT 127 made a guest appearance on “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah’s first-ever daytime special on education.

“The Daily Show with Trevor Noah Presents: Remotely Educational” premiered on March 10 on Comedy Central.

Host Trevor Noah and correspondents Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta, Desi Lydic, ulcé Sloan and Roy Wood Jr. as well as contributors Jordan Klepper and Lewis Black unveiled the only remote-learning classes that skip calculus and grammar in favor of lessons that students will actually need in life. NCT 127 gave a very special extra credit lesson on reading.

"Listen, I know it's really hard during this pandemic to learn anything from a TV or a computer. Heck, it's hard for adults. A lot of them try to learn things online,” said Noah.

He added, “And the next thing you know, they're storming the Capitol. But I wanted to help. So I asked the team here at 'The Daily Show' to help put together a lesson plan for you guys. And not just any lesson, but the lessons you won't learn in school but that you need to know before life teaches them to you the hard way.”

In a promo clip for the special, NCT 127’s Jaehyun said, “In order to better understand and communicate with us, NCT 127, it’s very important to know how to read.”

“Yes, it’s very important to make sure you read a lot and keep studying,” said Doyoung while Johnny added, “And if you do so, you’ll be able to better understand us through these subtitles.”

NCT 127 said, “So don’t forget to read.”
