Filipino mixed martial arts veteran Jenel Lausa suffered defeat at the hands of Ryskulbek Ibraimov of Kyrgyzstan in BRAVE CF 47: Asian Domination at the Bahrain National Stadium in Riffa Thursday night (early Friday morning, Manila time).

It was an unfortunate MMA comeback for Lausa, a newcomer in BRAVE Combat Federation, as Ibraimov scored a unanimous decision win with his impressive showing in grappling and wrestling.

Lausa, 32, had the chance to turn the tables midway in the last round after landing solid strikes on the exhausted Kyrgyz fighter, who was earlier dominating the former UFC veteran on the canvas.

But Ibraimov didn't back down and once again took over ground control from the two-minute mark until the final clapper.

Ibraimov admitted having a hard time adjusting to Lausa, a known boxer and striker, with the last-minute change of opponents but still displayed dominant form in all three rounds.

"But I was ready and I was going to win this fight and I did it," said Ibraimov in Kyrgyz language.

Keeping a calm and composed approach, the 28-year-old Ibraimov showed who's boss in grappling and wrestling after grabbing two takedowns in the opening round and another four in the following frame.

Ibraimov improved to a 19-8 record while Lausa fell to a four-match skid since 2017 with a 7-6 slate.
