1,225 Caloocan, QC residents apprehended for flouting health protocols
At least 1,225 individuals were apprehended by authorities in Caloocan and Quezon cities for violating virus-related orders and ordinances as Metro Manila mayors ordered anew the strict implementation of health protocols amid the surging case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the National Capital Region (NCR).

On the first night of Caloocan City’s enforcement of shortened curfew hours of 10 p.m. - 4 a.m. which started Wednesday night, about 625 residents were already nabbed by the police.
Some of them were also caught drinking alcohol in public places and not wearing face masks properly.
The Caloocan City Police made the crackdown as Mayor Oca Malapitan ordered the return of curfew hours and the use of quarantine passes.
Malapitan also issued a memorandum order addressed to all the city’s barangay heads to ensure its enforcement.
In Quezon City, around 600 individuals who violated health protocols were brought Friday morning to the Quezon City Memorial Circle where they were issued citation tickets.

This came after city personnel and police launched a “One Time, Big Time Operation” against health protocol violators.
The local government said those who showed symptoms of COVID-19 were also tested for the virus.
