Open-heart surgery of broadcaster Doris Bigornia successful, says daughter

Nikki Bigornia thanked those who prayed for the successful open-heart surgery of her mom veteran broadcaster Doris Bigornia who suffered a heart attack last month.

"Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nagdasal at patuloy na nagdarasal para kay mommy. Natapos na po ang surgery niya nung isang araw at successful po ito. Subalit, patuloy po kaming humihingi ng inyong mga dasal para sa tuluy-tuloy na recovery ni mommy," said NIkki on Twitter March 1.

NIkki also said that her mom is thankful for those who wished her well.

"Naiparating ko na rin po ang inyong mga mensahe at pagmamahal, at siya po ay taos-pusong nagpapasalamat sa inyong lahat."

"Ako rin po at ang aming pamilya ay nagpapasalamat sa inyong lahat. Dahil nabigyan niyo po kami ng lakas at pag-asa. Mahal na mahal namin kayo," she added.

Doris suffered a heart attack last Feb. 21.

Also known as Mutya ng Masa, Doris just celebrated her 55th birthday. She is also a field reporter on “TV Patrol" and co-hosts the DzMM teleradyo show "SRO" with Alvin Elchico.
