James Reid has surprised his fans when he announced that he will no longer be part of "The Soulmate Project."
The confirmation happened through a Kumu streaming of James as he hangout with Mon Abrea on "taxwhizph."
When a netizen commented about his upcoming TV series with South Korean star Nancy McDonie, James simply said: "I won't be doing 'Soulmate.' "
The said project was scheduled for release in 2020 but it was reset due to the pandemic.
“The Soulmate Project,” under Dreamscape Entertainment, is written and to be directed by Antoinette Jadaone.

A few days ago, the seasoned filmmaker also shared an update about it.
“‘The Soulmate Project’ is set not in a pandemic. It’s not meant to be shot during the pandemic na 70 people lang ‘yung puwede sa set. Ayoko siyang i-revise, i-scale down just to fit the safety protocols. Feeling ko magiging iba ‘yung kalalabasan ‘pag ipilit natin sa ganoon,” she said in an interview.
In the show, the law enforces citizens to be matched to a soulmate under Republic Act 143 also known as “The Soulmate Project.”
Same time last year when James and Nancy did some screen tests and workshops, etc.
