Barbie Forteza inspires 80-year-old fan to help kids with birth defects

Aside from her projects and vlogs, Barbie Forteza inspired a lot of people including an 80-year-old fan as she donates to Smile Train to help the children born with cleft lip/palate.

Rather than celebrating her birthday last Friday, Feb. 5, with a party, the 80-year-old Nanay Nenita Samson decided to donate to the charity organization where Barbie serves as one of its ambassadors.

In return to her good deed, Smile Train Philippines thanked Barbie and Nanay Nita on their Instagram Story update that reads: "Dahil kay @barbaraforteza at Nanay Nita, marami pang batang ipinanganak nang may cleft (ang) matutulungan ng @SMILETRAIN. (Heart emoji)"

Before the global pandemic, Nanay Nita was an avid fan of GMA 7's former variety show "Sunday Pinasaya Live."

Now, Nanay Nita gets her constant dose of Barbie's presence through her vlogs and GMA primetime show, "Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday."
