OA? Sarah Geronimo's fans react to pop royalty title for Geneva Cruz

Fans of Sarah Geronimo are not happy that OPM artist Geneva Cruz is also being addressed as another pop royalty.

Geronimo's fans believe that the title only belongs to her.

But some netizens think that Geronimo's fans are over-reacting this way.

On Twitter Feb. 6, a netizen commented: "Ang OA ng mga ito. Nacacahiya kayo. Sobrang cheapangga."

Another netizen who appeared irked said: "Kalerks. Pop royalty paka ang nakalagay na title kay Geneva sa teaser ng YFSF. Kaya may nagrereact."

To appease the fans of Geronimo, Cruz has called on the management of ABS CBN to fix the issue.

Cruz said: "At sa fans ni @justsarahgph, please don't be upset with me; I didn't ask them to give me that description. nagulat din ako na yan ang tawag sa akin. I only want to be called by my name. And I just want to perform, not offend anyone."

Some fans said that Cruz also deserves the pop royalty title because she hails from famous Cruz clan of show business like Tirso Cruz III, Sunshine Cruz, Sheryl Cruz and Donna Cruz.

Cruz, 44, has made hits as member of the group Smokey Mountain and as a solo artist. Her hits include "Kailan," Anak Ng Pasig," and "Hindi Ko Kaya."
