'Tiny house' with views of nature and a lake is your ultimate weekend retreat

A cozy house, with a view of nature and a lake, is the ultimate escape that most are dreaming of. Dream no more as this house—this tiny, tiny house—is just a three-hour drive away from Metro Manila, specifically at Kaliraya Surf Kamp in Cavinti, Laguna. Inside, the resort has this so-called Tiny House, which is just good for two persons.

The Tiny House is good for two persons

The Tiny House is like a mini-container van type accommodation, which was launched late last year by the resort. It is at P4,000 during weekdays and P5,500 during weekends. It would be a comfortable experience any time of the year as the house is fully air-conditioned. It features a full-size bed, cabinet for storage, a clean shower and toilet, plus a roof deck and balcony that gives you a serene view of the Caliraya Lake.

If it’s a group date, then Kalariya Surf Kamp Bunks is for you. This is good for eight, perfect for family or friends.

The Bunks are bigger and can fit a group of eight.

If you are up for adventure, then there are a lot of activities that can be done at the resort. You can swim, windsurf, kite surf, take a jet ski, or kayak. The resort has all the equipment ready for rent for your water sports adventure. There are entrance fees to pay (P500/ person for overnight stay) and health protocols are strictly observed by the resort.

So if you feel the need to go outdoors during the weekends of this month, look no further and take the road to Cavinti, which is just around three hours away from Metro Manila. The roads are smooth and there are convenience stores, restaurants, and restrooms along the way to make your trip convenient.
