'Squad Plus' Anji Salvacion in tears after revealing her mom is COVID-19 positive

"Squad Plus" member Anji Salvacion couldn't held back her tears when she talked about her mom who was tested positive for COVID-19.

Without mentioning her mom's name, she disclosed this matter on her recent guesting in "Magandang Buhay" last Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Jolina started the interview saying: "Ang momshie ni Anji ay isang frontliner at hindi sila palaging nagkakasama kasi laging pumapasok sa ospital, nasa Surigao kaya amalyo talaga sila sa isa't-isa."

Hosts Karla Estrada and Melai Cantiveros joined the conversation by revealing that her mom tested positive for COVID-19 and that Anji is emotional because she misses her mom.

This is where Anji got emotional. "Okay na naman siya but I'm still worried kasi baka maulit po and then there's a new variant of the virus I can't bear to think that my mom is always in front and exposed sa mga may COVID."

Despite her concerns, Anji is very proud of her mom: "My mom is an amazing person, what can I say? Para sa'kin she's the best."

The "Squad Plus" performer went on to say that she's perfect, inspiring and strong especially now that she's raising her and her sibblings alone for 11 years since they don't have a dad.

The three "momshies" comforted her and told her afterwards.

Anji rose to fame after her stint in "Idol Philippines" and her role in "Kadenang Ginto."

She has been added as one of the regular performers in "ASAP Natin 'To."
