Pokwang reacts to Vico Sotto's move to help healthcare workers

Comedianne Pokwang has expressed support to Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto's initiative to increase the salary of Pasig Health Aides (PHA) from a monthly salary of P5,000 to over P12,000.

In one of her recent tweets, Pokwang tweeted: "Ito yung dapat unahin ang pagtaas ng sahod muna ng mga manggagawa lalo na mga frontliners!!!! hindi yung kung anik anik nalang na law na yan wala sa timing! 500 na kilo ng baboy tapos ang sweldo mo nasa 300 to 500 lang ano ito??? God bless you mayor @VicoSotto."

Along with her tweet is a photo of Mayor Vico Sotto captioned: "Ngayong taon, tinaasan natin ang sahod ng mga Pasig Health Aide mula 5,000 kada buwan hanggang P 12,000.

"Mabigat ang katungkulan ng mga health center personnel natin, at madadagdagan pa ang responsibilidad nila. Kaya hindi dapat underpaid."

The Pasig City mayor initially posted about this increase on his Twitter last Tuesday, Feb. 2.
